Marta Sánchez's daughter on Cuatro: "She's very much a mother chicken, overprotective."

Marta Sánchez's daughter on Cuatro: "She's very much a mother chicken, overprotective."

The second installment of the talk show "Mis raíces," hosted by journalist Isabel Jiménez on Cuatro, featured Madrid-born singer Marta Sánchez. The interview between the two, featuring numerous guest voices and images from the artist's four-decade career, aired this Thursday, July 24th, on the aforementioned Mediaset channel. The result exceeded expectations in terms of the depth of the research and the generosity of the former Olé Olé vocalist's responses. The full interview can be viewed on the Cuatro website.

There was another big incentive: the first formal appearance on camera of Paula Cabanas, who had never made any statements to the media. Paula spoke more about the mother than the artist, with the undeniable interest this fact holds for Marta Sánchez's fans. "She's very much a mother, overprotective. She always tries to advise me so I don't make the same mistakes she may have made in the past, especially regarding issues like bad friendships." Marta Sánchez, now 59, found fame as a teenager and had to endure many of the things typical of other times regarding people with dark intentions.

Marta, happy with the interview

In the hours leading up to the show's broadcast, Marta Sánchez shared her very positive impressions of the filming on social media. "I'm very happy to share with you tonight the program 'My Roots,' which I did with my daughter and my mother. A program so you can learn a little more about me and my family. I'll show you part of my childhood and my beginnings, the neighborhood I'm from and where all my dreams began. Thank you @isabeljimenezt5 for the wonderful day we spent filming together and for doing such a wonderful interview."

Marta also remembered someone very important to her. “Special thanks to my best friend Chiquinquirá Figueroa for the great effort she made to be with me just three days after her father died. My dearest friend, I love you so much… What would I do without you?”
